Survey Technician

Role Description:

Survey Technicians assist senior Survey staff with a multitude of tasks, including field data collection, data processing & adjustments, records research & plan preparation. Individuals are well rounded in their professional survey background and are seeking to expand their skills on a daily basis.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Requirements:

  • 2 - 5 years progressive experience

  • Associates/Bachelors Degree preferred

  • LSIT preferred

  • Strong understanding of Surveying principles

  • Proficiency with all types of Surveying equipment

  • Some experience using current AutoCad Civil 3D & data processing

Mapping & data technician

Role Description:

Mapping & Data Technicians provide data handling & mapping support across a multitude of projects, typically several at any given time. Responsibilities include compilation of land records and GIS data, surface modeling, and preparation of survey plats under the direction of senior licensed staff.

Position Type: Part Time or Full Time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Requirements:

  • 2 - 5 years progressive experience supporting Surveying or related fields

  • Proficiency in AutoCad Civil3D

  • Experience working with GIS, LiDAR and Photogrammetric data

  • Basic understanding of Surveying principles and data collection procedures

Instrument operator

Role Description:

Instrument Operators work alongside Survey Party Chiefs & Survey Technicians as part of a “field crew”. They are well versed in the operation of all types of surveying equipment and data collection techniques.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Requirements:

  • 1 year experience as an Instrument Operator

  • Basic understanding of surveying principles & data collection procedures

  • Strong work ethic & ability to work outdoors in all climates

  • Detail oriented individuals with a desire to advance in the Surveying profession

  • Willing to travel for extended periods around New England as needed
